Inflation and distraction

Eighteen percent food inflation

Should grip our leaders' urgent attention,

But they don't give a damn,

Their concern a mere sham,

Because they've diverted us with cheap titillation.

A scowling old man called Pawar

There was a scowling old man called Pawar, 

Who was also the Agriculture Commissar, 

Every word he spoke

Caused inflation to stoke,

Now sugar is beginning to taste sour.
